STEP ONE
Remove your hardware and clean your furniture with sugar soap to remove any trapped grease and dirt. Sugar Soap can be purchased from any DIY store.
STEP TWO
It's important to sand the finish on your furniture so your paint will fully adhere to the surface. Use 240 grit sandpaper and make sure you sand in the direction of the wood grain. For a smooth finish, do a final sand with 320 grit sandpaper. Finally, wipe your furniture with a damp cloth so you have a clean surface to paint.
STEP THREE
To make sure your lovely paint finish will be scratch-proof and durable, you will need to paint one coat of Zinsser B-I-N Primer Sealer Paint. You can purchase that at Toolstation. Once dried, give it a light sand and clean ready for your final paint colour.

Top Tip!​
Lightly sand in between each coat of paint for an extra smooth, professional finish.
