I've always loved mid-century furniture as it comes with good, solid bones as standard. I was lucky to inherit a beautiful sideboard from my Nanna a few years back. It was a treasured piece with a lot of sentimental value so I knew we had to keep it. But, its out-dated design really didn't fit our modern-day lifestyle and home.

It was a joy to discover that underneath the smelly, murky brown varnish of Nanna's sideboard was a beautiful piece of furniture which I could transform into a piece to be cherished again.
I realised lots of people would feel this way about older furniture, leading to pieces which are unwanted and often disregarded. But, it doesn't have to be that way!
